Designed by Salaarc, MetalLark Tower is the perfect secluded vacation home getaway in Wisconsin. The two-story tower is set up to provide panoramic views across the countryside. This is why the living area is on the second floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring the outside in and give guests a bird’s eye view over the rolling landscape.
As you can see from the gallery, each season brings its own charm, from the snowy winter wonderland to a spring floral display.
The tower’s siding is corteen steel designed to last through the harsh Wisconsin winters, over time it has developed a patina and a rustic rusty appearance. It plays a dual purpose, also acting as a steel ‘overcoat’ to protect guests in the tower from bitter winter winds.
Solar panels and triple-paned windows contribute to the structure’s energy efficiency. And an electric charging station boosts the property’s eco credentials.
The interior is Scandinavian-inspired featuring luxe furnishings, a king-size bed and designer bathroom. All told, Metal Lark is a beacon of comfort among the beautiful Wisconsin countryside.
PEOPLE
The modern treehouse’s owners promote quiet sports as the best way to enjoy the 140 acres of rural Wisconsin attached to the property. Guests can traverse hiking trails in snow shoes to walk through the woods, follow a nordic ski trail and pursue quiet activities to avoid drowning out the wildlife and bird sounds.
Other activities include taking a paddleboat out on the lake and lighting a bonfire to reflect and soak up the peaceful atmosphere.
